The department provides leadership for districtwide technology planning, implementation, support, and continuous improvement. This includes oversight of network systems, devices, software platforms, classroom technology, student information systems, and other digital tools that support teaching, learning, and district operations.

The department works to protect district systems, student information, staff data, and instructional resources through secure technology practices. This includes supporting cybersecurity awareness, responsible technology use, data privacy, account security, and safe access to digital learning environments.

The department supports teachers and staff in the meaningful integration of instructional technology. Through coaching, collaboration, and professional learning, the department helps staff use digital tools to enhance instruction, personalize learning, improve student engagement, and support 21st century skills.
