Another week for the books! I was so excited to have the opportunity to celebrate the growth that your students showed with our staff and with your children as well. The fly up day for second grade was a huge success. Our students really represented our school well, and our soon to be third graders got to hear from our current third graders and also get a day-in-the-life at WOIS. Next week is packed with fun and excitement, we have a field day on Thursday, along with a picnic that day as well. Your students’ favorite teachers and myself are going to be dunked in a giant dunk tank and we will have rotations throughout the day for students to enjoy. On Friday we will have a last day of school assembly to have some fun, and reminisce on the year that has happened. Thank you all for your kindness, support and partnership throughout this school year. We had incredible growth academically, and positive experiences throughout.

5th Grade Band and Choir: 5th grade band and choir will be ENDING Today 5/17 for the 23/24 school year. The week of 5/20 they will be riding their regular buses. We have reached out to transportation to add them back to their original routes.
Summer Band Camp: Summer Band Camp begins on 6/17 and goes until 6/27 at Mundelein High School. Registration is open for 5th - 7th graders. More information can be found HERE on this flyer.
Device Turn-in: Students in 3rd through 8th grade will be turning in their devices on 5/22. Please be sure to send your student with their device, charger, and case. We will be returning them to the company and revamping our supply this year.
Fremont Summer Reading: This summer from June 1 - July 31 the Fremont Library is hosting our Summer Library Club! We welcome all people to participate - residency and library cards are NOT required. Kids and teens who visit the library six times in June and July earn a free book - and they can earn a second free book by reading any 3 books!

Food Service: Each month our breakfast and lunch menus will be provided in our Family Communications as well as posted on our website. Click HERE for the breakfast menu and HERE for the lunch menu.
Medication Authorization Form: If your child needs to take medication of any kind throughout the school day, in response to allergies, or under specific circumstances, families are required to complete the D76 Medical Authorization form. Portions of the form must be completed by your child’s physician. Click HERE to access the form. In addition to the completed form, families must provide the medication in its original container. Printed copies of the form are also available in our front office.
Innovation Learning: Families looking for before and/or after school programming Innovation Learning provides these services up to five days a week. Here are the flyers in English/Spanish for more information.
Need Groceries?: Summer Family Market distributions use a contactless drive-thru model with pre-packed groceries. No registration, ID, or documentation is needed. Food is distributed on a first-come first-served basis, while supplies last.

¡Otra semana para el recuerdo! Yo estoy tan emocionado de haber tenido la oportunidad de celebrar el crecimiento que sus estudiantes mostraron con nuestro personal y con sus hijos también. El día de bienvenida para el segundo grado fue un gran éxito. Nuestros estudiantes realmente representaron a nuestra escuela muy bien y nuestros futuros estudiantes de tercer grado tuvieron la oportunidad de escuchar a nuestros actuales estudiantes de tercer grado y también obtener un día en la vida en WOIS. La próxima semana está llena de diversión y emoción, tenemos un día de campo el jueves, junto con un picnic ese día también. Los maestros favoritos de sus estudiantes y yo vamos a ser sumergidos en un tanque de agua gigante y tendremos rotaciones durante todo el día para que los estudiantes disfruten. El viernes tendremos una asamblea de último día de escuela para divertirnos y recordar el año que ha pasado. Gracias a todos por su amabilidad, apoyo y colaboración a lo largo de este año escolar. Hemos tenido un increíble crecimiento académico y experiencias positivas.

Banda y Coro de 5to grado: Banda y coro de 5to grado TERMINARÁN EL 17 de mayo para el año escolar 23/24. La semana de 5/20 viajarán en sus autobuses regulares. Hemos contactado con el transporte para agregarlos de nuevo a sus rutas originales.
Campamento de Banda de Verano: El Campamento de Banda de Verano comienza el día Junio 17 y se extiende hasta el día Junio 27 en la Mundelein High School. La inscripción está abierta para estudiantes de 5º a 7º grado. Puede encontrar más información AQUÍ en este folleto.
Entrega de Dispositivos: Los estudiantes de 3º a 8º grado entregarán sus dispositivos el 22 de mayo. Por favor, asegúrese de enviar a su estudiante con su dispositivo, cargador, y el estuche. Los devolveremos a la compañía y renovaremos nuestro equipo este año.
Lectura de verano en Fremont: Este verano, del 1 de junio al 31 de julio, la Biblioteca Fremont organiza nuestro Club de Verano de la Biblioteca. Damos la bienvenida a todas las personas a participar - residencia y tarjetas de la biblioteca no son necesarios.
