Thank you for all of your support and for filling the gym this past Monday for the Spelling Bee! We had such a blast hosting, and look forward to next year’s spelling bee as well. Today, we will host our 2nd and final inclement weather drill in the afternoon. This drill typically takes about 5 minutes and is required by the state of Illinois. We hosted our February “Love” Assembly on Friday of last week and 9 students from across grade levels and from the specials department won! This month we are moving on to Empathy. Students will be recognized for showing empathy to others and receive Pawsome Cards for doing so.
Late Start Reminder: Monday 03/04/24 we will have a late start for students. A reminder that the buses will be picking your students up at their late start times.
5 Essentials Reminder: The 5Essentials is an annual survey that helps us improve as a school, show what we are doing for the community and recognize the areas we are succeeding in. It is very important that we have family input in this survey, so that we know what to continue, and what to change. We are up to 17 % which is AMAZING! IAR: The IAR or “Illinois Assessment of Readiness'' will begin the week of March 4th. We will start with Math which includes 3 sections, and then the week after we will take Reading and Language Arts which also includes 3 sections. Testing days are March 5th, 6th, 7th, 12th, 13th, and 14th. Make up days will happen on Friday of each week during testing.
The school day looks a little different for the IAR, we will all test in the morning from 8:15-9:45. This helps us create a testing environment that is most beneficial for all students. Please reach out if you have any questions, or need any support.

Culvers Dine out Night is happening on March 12, 2024 at the Mundelein Culver’s on Highway 60 (Townline Road).

Food Service: Each month our breakfast and lunch menus will be provided in our Family Communications as well as posted on our website. Click HERE for the breakfast menu and HERE for the lunch menu.
Medication Authorization Form: If your child needs to take medication of any kind throughout the school day, in response to allergies, or under specific circumstances, families are required to complete the D76 Medical Authorization form. Portions of the form must be completed by your child’s physician. Click HERE to access the form. In addition to the completed form, families must provide the medication in its original container. Printed copies of the form are also available in our front office.
Innovation Learning:
Families looking for before and/or after school programming Innovation Learning provides these services up to five days a week. Here are the flyers in English/Spanish for more information.
Need Groceries?:
Summer Family Market distributions use a contactless drive-thru model with pre-packed groceries. No registration, ID, or documentation is needed. Food is distributed on a first-come first-served basis, while supplies last.

¡Gracias por todo su apoyo y por llenar el gimnasio este Lunes que pasó para el concurso de ortografía! Nos lo pasamos de maravilla, y esperamos con ansias el concurso ortográfico del año que viene también. Hoy, presentaremos nuestro segundo y último simulacro de inclemencias del tiempo por la tarde. Este simulacro toma típicamente unos 5 minutos y es requerido por el estado de Illinois. Organizamos nuestra Asamblea de “Amor” en febrero el viernes de la semana pasada y 9 estudiantes de todos los niveles de grado y del departamento de especiales ganaron! Este mes vamos a pasar a la empatía. Los estudiantes serán reconocidos por mostrar empatía a los demás y recibir tarjetas Pawsome por hacerlo.
Recordatorio de inicio tardío: El lunes 03/04/24 tendremos un comienzo tardío para los estudiantes. Un recordatorio de que los autobuses recogerán a sus estudiantes a la hora de inicio tardío.
Recordatorio de 5 Essentials: 5Essentials es una encuesta anual que nos ayuda a mejorar como escuela, mostrar lo que estamos haciendo por la comunidad y reconocer las áreas en las que estamos teniendo éxito. Es muy importante que tengamos aportes familiares en esta encuesta, para que sepamos qué continuar y qué cambiar. ¡Estamos al 17%, lo cual es INCREÍBLE! Comenzaremos con Matemáticas que incluye 3 secciones, y luego la semana siguiente tomaremos Lectura y Artes del Lenguaje que también incluye 3 secciones.Los días de prueba son el 5, 6, 7, 12, 13 y 14 de marzo. Los días de recuperación se llevarán a cabo el viernes de cada semana durante las pruebas.
