Dear D76 Staff and Families,
We are pleased to share that the Board of Education has approved the hiring of Ms. Yolanda Roldan as our new Director of Multilingual Learning, beginning with the 2026–2027 school year.
Ms. Roldan brings a strong background in bilingual education and instructional leadership, most recently serving as an Elementary Assistant Principal in Harvard District 50. Her experience includes leading systems that support multilingual learners, analyzing student data to guide instruction, and partnering closely with staff and families to ensure all students have access to high-quality learning opportunities.
Throughout the selection process, Ms. Roldan stood out for her deep understanding of dual language programming, her commitment to biliteracy development, and her belief that all multilingual learners can achieve at high levels. She is known for leading with empathy, building strong relationships, and fostering collaboration across school communities.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Ms. Roldan is passionate about creating inclusive environments where students and families feel valued and supported. Her leadership reflects a dedication to empowering educators, strengthening systems, and ensuring every learner has the opportunity to succeed.
