West Oak Middle School earned the designation as an Illinois Horizon and National Forum School To Watch. This award is one of the highest awards a middle school can earn. By earning this award, West Oak Middle School is recognized as a national leader in Organizational Structures and Process, Academic Excellence, Developmental Responsiveness and Social Equity.

The prestigious award is based entirely on what current employees say about their experience working in our district. This year, 99% of employees said it’s a great place to work, 42% higher than the average U.S. company.

NSPRA’s Publications and Digital Media Excellence Awards recognize outstanding education publications, e-newsletters, digital media programs, radio/TV/video programs, social media, infographics, blogs and websites.
