2021 Summer Learning Update
D76 2021 Summer Learning Update

Dear District 76 Families:

Each year, District 76 offers extended learning opportunities during the summer months for our students to continue to build skills in Literacy, Math and also learn additional skills in Spanish, STEAM and Band.

This year we will be focusing specifically on reading and math instruction to help minimize any gaps in skill acquisition along with Band, for West Oak students in grades 5-7, and STEAM (through our partnership with District 75).

The District 76 Summer Learning program will be in person with the option of remote and consists of an online platform where students will have the opportunity to build upon and strengthen their current Literacy, Math and Spanish Literacy skills, for dual language students. Summer Learning will be in person at the West Oak Campus and Mundelein High School with simultaneous instruction with remote students.

The dates for 2021 summer school will be June 7th through July 15th on Monday through Thursday each week from 8:00-11:30am.  Band and Stem program dates and times will be communicated separately.

Registration information will be sent the week of April 26th, and continue to provide Summer Learning updates throughout the month of May as it becomes available.  Should you have specific questions about Summer Learning, please email [email protected].

Please continue to stay safe and healthy!

Sincerely,

Kurt Preble
