Dear D76 Families,

We understand that grief can manifest in many ways, and it's important to create a safe space for students to process their emotions as they continue to navigate significant loss. To that end, we're hosting a special event called "Healing Hearts."

When: Wednesday July 24th  11:30 am to 1:30 pm

Healing Hearts will provide a supportive environment with group discussions and activities. Polly and other friends from Canines4Comfort will be at the event. The calming presence of therapy dogs will provide comfort and reduce stress. This event is open to all students who may benefit from additional support during this difficult time. If your child(ren) plans to attend, please call the WOMS office on/before Wednesday, 7.17.24 at 847-566-9220.  If you need assistance with transportation, please let the WOMS office staff know when you RSVP.   

We understand that grief is a personal journey, and not all students will feel comfortable attending a group event. However, we want to assure you that our school social workers are available to provide individual support to any student who may need it. Please don't hesitate to complete this FORM if you have any questions or concerns.  A D76 social worker will contact you within 24 hours.
