Finding Strength Together: Grief Support Sessions

Some of our D76 students, staff and families are experiencing sadness and grief after the sudden loss of friends and family members.

To help support our students and families in this time of need, we would like to invite students to "Finding Strength Together: Grief Support Sessions."

  • Dates: July 9 and/or July 11, 2024 (students can attend one or both days)

  • Time: Drop in hours 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

  • Location: Diamond Lake School

These events will aim to provide comfort and support to those navigating through grief.   D76 social workers will be available to guide students through various support stations.  Light refreshments (water, lemonade, snacks) will be available.

Additionally, Dr. Berger, Polly and other C4C therapy dogs will be on-site during the events, to provide an added layer of comfort.

Looking ahead, we have additional support activities planned, "Healing Hearts" on July 17 and July 24 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. More information will be coming soon. If you are unable to make this or future events, please click here to schedule individual times to speak with one of our D76 social workers.

We hope these events can provide some additional support/resources for our students and families during this difficult time
