Dear Diamond Lake School (DLS) Families,
Final report cards for the 2023-2024 school year and STAR Assessment Data reports were sent today to all families via email. Please be sure to review and discuss this information with your child. It is always encouraging to celebrate your child’s growth and achievements and identify areas for improvement. This is also a great way to determine what skills your child should practice while home over the summer.
If you are in need of registering your child for the 2024-2025 school year, please be aware of when our office will be open for registration. Below you will see the special office hours in the weeks ahead:

Proof of Residency Fair to complete the registration process will take place on Monday, August 5th and Tuesday, August 6th 4:00-8:00 pm each day at Diamond Lake School.
This week was filled with celebrations, reflections, and memories of the special moments that mattered at DLS. First, we would like to thank our Physical Education Teacher, Ms. Alexis Pawlowski, for an incredible Field Day! Warm weather and great activities set to a Sparkles the Hero theme provided us with an opportunity for our students and staff to play together and take on outdoor challenges. All of this could not have been possible without the kindness of our PTO and the family volunteers who helped us with this event. On behalf of students and staff, we thank you for your generosity. The Freeze Pops were a great cooldown treat, and the volunteers helped to keep everything running smoothly! Thank you!
Thank you, Mr. Freiburger and West Oak Intermediate School (WOIS) staff for welcoming our 2nd Grade students over to WOIS for Fly Up Day. It was a day full of getting to know the building, learning about the routines, and engaging in welcoming activities. The leadership from WOIS students was incredible. Last week’s Kindergarten Concert was priceless! There was certainly no stagefright and no reservation to perform. They sang their hearts out and put on an unforgettable performance. We would also like to take a moment and recognize two very special moments that matter. Last Friday evening, District 76 celebrated the 2023-2024 school year at their End of Year Gala. This is traditionally a time for us to celebrate our growth and achievements and recognize retiring staff. With a very heavy heart, DLS recognized Little Diamond Early Learning Program Teacher, Ms. Diana Wagner. Ms. Wagner has been a PreK Teacher for 20 years in D76. Her love, her passion, and her dedication to early childhood learning has shaped our program and helped us to develop a strong foundation in preparing our students for Kindergarten. Las boletas de calificaciones finales para el año escolar 2023-2024 y los informes de datos de evaluación STAR se enviaron hoy a todas las familias por correo electrónico. Asegúrese de revisar y discutir esta información con su hijo. Siempre es alentador celebrar el crecimiento y los logros de su hijo e identificar áreas de mejora. Esta semana estuvo llena de celebraciones, reflexiones y recuerdos de los momentos especiales que importaron en DLS. Primero, nos gustaría agradecer a nuestra maestra de educación física, la Sra. También nos gustaría tomarnos un momento y reconocer dos momentos muy especiales que importan. El viernes pasado por la noche, el Distrito 76 celebró el año escolar 2023-2024 en su Gala de Fin de Año. Este es tradicionalmente un momento para celebrar nuestro crecimiento y logros y reconocer al personal que se jubila. Con gran pesar, DLS reconoció a la maestra del Programa de Aprendizaje Temprano Little Diamond, la Sra. Diana Wagner. La Sra. Wagner ha sido maestra de preescolar durante 20 años en el D76. Su amor, su pasión y su dedicación al aprendizaje en la primera infancia han dado forma a nuestro programa y nos han ayudado a desarrollar una base sólida en la preparación de nuestros estudiantes para el jardín de infantes.
