Dear Diamond Lake School (DLS) Families,
Next week is the final opportunity to return any materials checked out from our Library or borrowed from your child’s classroom. Please be sure to send all materials back as soon as possible. We want to ensure that we are able to provide the same resources and materials to our students next year. Also, please be aware that teachers will start sending home school supplies and academic materials that your children used this year. Students are highly encouraged to continue completing the practice pages within their workbooks. This is a great way to keep students engaged in learning throughout the summer and focused on the specific skills that they learned this year. Lockers will also be cleaned out next week and teachers will be sending home those personal items as well. Please be sure to check your child’s backpack each night and collect the items so that they have room to bring everything home the next day.
PTO News
This Monday is our big night! Monday, May 23rd 5:00-8:00 pm is McTeacher’s Night at McDonald’s! Come on in or take a trip through the drive thru where D76 staff will be serving you. We are very excited for this final event with our PTO. Click HERE for more information.
On behalf of DLS staff, we also want to thank our PTO for their continuous work and efforts this year. It was wonderful to see the different opportunities these volunteers brought to our students and their families. By working in partnership, staff and families came together to create special events, support students, and enrich our warm, welcoming environment. Thank you, PTO!

LAST CHANCE! Summer Learning Registration
If you are interested in enrolling your child in any of our Summer Learning programs, (Gen Ed, Dual, or ESY) please do so soon. Registration for all Summer Learning will close this Wednesday, May 25th. Please click on this link to register. Summer Learning will be held over two sessions. Session 1 will be held June 6th-June 30th, Monday through Thursday each week, from 8:00-11:30am. Session 2 will be held August 1st- August 12th, Monday through Thursday both weeks, from 8:00-11:30am. You will have the option to sign up for either session or both.
LAST CHANCE! Summer Learning Dual Language Registration
If you are interested in enrolling your child in any of our Summer Learning programs, (Gen Ed, Dual, or ESY) please do so soon. Registration for all Summer Learning will close this Wednesday, May 25th. Diamond Lake School District is offering Dual Language for Summer Learning FOR STUDENTS CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN DUAL LANGUAGE. Dual Language will be held during the first session of Summer Learning for all students currently in K-7th grade, and offered during the second session for grades 2nd-7th. Dual Language classes will be grouped in grade level clusters. Dual Language will be taught as K-1st, 2nd-4th and 5th-7th clusters. K-1st will only be available for Session 1. Grades 2nd-4th and 5th-7th will be taught both sessions. Class will be on Monday through Thursday, from 8:00-11:30 am. There is no school on Monday, June 20th. IF YOU HAVE ALREADY SIGNED YOUR CHILD UP FOR SUMMER LEARNING AND WOULD RATHER ENROLL THEM IN DUAL LANGUAGE, PLEASE COMPLETE THIS FORM AND WE WILL REMOVE YOUR CHILD'S GENERAL EDUCATION SUMMER LEARNING REGISTRATION.
2022-2023 DLS K-2nd Registration
If you have students returning to DLS or transferring over to West Oak Campus, you have received communication from the district containing the necessary Snapcode that you will need to register your child. If you have a child who will be starting Kindergarten this August, you can also receive a Snapcode for your child by completing the pre registration.
It is incredibly important that students are registered in our system as soon as possible. By registering your child, we are able to plan for the upcoming school year, screen students as needed, and place them in the appropriate classroom. 2022-2023 Little Diamonds Preschool
Our early childhood program is also new and improved! Little Diamonds Early Learning Program is a play based program that gives children ages 3 and 4 years old by September 1st the opportunity to engage with other children and strengthen social, emotional, and language skills. Screenings must be conducted first for preschool in order to start the registration process.
Parent University
The SEL Committee is continuing to work towards finishing this year strong and have already started their work in planning for the upcoming school year. La próxima semana es la última oportunidad para devolver cualquier material prestado de nuestra biblioteca o prestado del salón de clases de su hijo. Asegúrese de devolver todos los materiales lo antes posible. Queremos asegurarnos de poder proporcionar los mismos recursos y materiales a nuestros estudiantes el próximo año. El distrito escolar de Diamond Lake ofrece idioma dual para el aprendizaje de verano PARA ESTUDIANTES ACTUALMENTE INSCRITOS EN IDIOMA DUAL. El lenguaje dual se llevará a cabo durante la primera sesión de Aprendizaje de verano para todos los estudiantes que actualmente están en los grados K-7, y se ofrecerá durante la segunda sesión para los grados 2-7. Si tiene estudiantes que regresan a DLS o se transfieren a West Oak Campus, ha recibido una comunicación del distrito que contiene el Snapcode necesario que necesitará para registrar a su hijo. Si tiene un hijo que comenzará educación temprana este agosto, también puede recibir un Snapcode para su hijo completando la preinscripción.
Es increíblemente importante que los estudiantes se registren en nuestro sistema lo antes posible. Al registrar a su hijo, podemos planificar el próximo año escolar, evaluar a los estudiantes según sea necesario y ubicarlos en el salón de clases apropiado. 2022-2023 Preescolar Pequeños Diamantes
¡Nuestro programa de primera infancia también es nuevo y mejorado! El programa de aprendizaje temprano Little Diamonds es un programa basado en el juego que brinda a los niños de 3 y 4 años de edad antes del 1 de septiembre la oportunidad de interactuar con otros niños y fortalecer las habilidades sociales, emocionales y del lenguaje. El Comité SEL continúa trabajando para terminar este año con fuerza y ya ha comenzado su trabajo de planificación para el próximo año escolar.
