Dear Friends and Families of West Oak Middle School:
Thank you to all of our families who attended Parent/Teacher Conferences yesterday. And please accept our sincere thank you for your ongoing support as we navigate coming back to school full-time this fall. We are grateful for the trust you place in us each day as we work with your children. Have a wonderful rest of the week with family and friends. We will see you on Monday, November 29th.
Upcoming Band and Choir Concerts: The Winter 2021 Band Concert for the 5th - 8th grade students on the West Oak Campus will be happening on Thursday, December 2nd. The 5th and 6th grade performance will be from 6:00 - 6:40 PM and the 7th and 8th grade performance will be from 7:00 - 7:30 PM in the West Oak Middle School gymnasium. Please come and support our students! Students should arrive 15 minutes early for their performances.
The Choir Concert will be one performance at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, December 1st, in the West Oak Middle School gymnasium. Students should arrive no later than 6:40 PM and report to the Choir room. Concert dress code is all solid black without rips or patterns. All students are required to stay throughout the concert. When students are not on stage they will be sitting with their class. The concert is expected to be over by 8pm.
For both performances, all audience members and participants are required to wear masks.
PTO Fundraiser: Come out and join our amazing PTO as they continue to support our district's teachers and students. On December 1st, from 4-8:00pm they will be holding a fundraiser at Chipotle located at 520 Townline Road. Here are the flyers for the event. (English and Spanish) We hope to see you there.
PTO Book Fair Volunteers Needed: The PTO is looking for volunteers to work the book fair booth during parent teacher conferences and the following week. Please review the available slots and sign up if you can help. Thank you!

Wrestling: The upcoming Wrestling season will begin December 6th. Athletes need a sports physical on-file to participate. We will send out more information next week.

Estimados amigos y familias de la escuela secundaria West Oak:
Gracias a todas nuestras familias que asistieron ayer a las conferencias de padres y maestros. Y por favor acepte nuestro más sincero agradecimiento por su apoyo continuo mientras navegamos para regresar a la escuela a tiempo completo este otoño. Estamos agradecidos por la confianza que deposita en nosotros cada día mientras trabajamos con sus hijos. Que tenga un maravilloso resto de la semana con familiares y amigos. Próximos conciertos de banda y coro: El concierto de banda de invierno de 2021 para los estudiantes de quinto a octavo grado en el campus de West Oak se llevará a cabo el jueves 2 de diciembre. La presentación de los grados 5 y 6 será de 6:00 a 6:40 pm y la presentación de los grados 7 y 8 será de 7:00 a 7:30 pm en el gimnasio de la Escuela Intermedia West Oak. ¡Por favor venga y apoye a nuestros estudiantes! Los estudiantes deben llegar 15 minutos antes para sus presentaciones.
El Concierto del Coro será una presentación a las 7:00 PM el miércoles 1 de diciembre en el gimnasio de la Escuela Intermedia West Oak. Los estudiantes deben llegar a más tardar a las 6:40 pm e informar al salón del Coro. El código de vestimenta de concierto es completamente negro sin rasgaduras ni patrones. Se requiere que todos los estudiantes permanezcan durante todo el concierto. Cuando los estudiantes no estén en el escenario, estarán sentados con su clase. Se espera que el concierto termine a las 8 pm.
Para ambas presentaciones, todos los miembros de la audiencia y los participantes deben usar máscaras.
Recaudación de fondos del PTO: Venga y únase a nuestro increíble PTO mientras continúan apoyando a los maestros y estudiantes de nuestro distrito. El 1 de diciembre, de 4 a 8:00 p.
