Distance Learning Technology Expectations

Student Devices

Current K - 7th Grade Students
Current Kindergarten through 7th-grade students will keep their district-issued device throughout the Summer. If Illinois schools are instructed to start the 2020-21 school year implementing distance learning, students will continue using their issued out devices.

Note: Our Technology Department will provide future communications with current Kindergarten and 1st grades regarding required device swaps over the Summer.

Students Transferring Out of District 76 
Students who are transferring out of District 76 at the end of the year and/or during the Summer will need to email [email protected] or call 847-388-2500 to schedule a device (Chromebook, iPad, Hotspot) and charger turn in with our Technology Department

Missing or Not Turned Devices/Chargers
Any device and/or charger not turned in will be subject to device replacement charges.

Mobile Hotspots

Based on responses to our Internet Connectivity Survey, families in need are issued internet hotspot in order to connect the school-issued Chromebook/iPad to the internet for the purpose of assigned school work as well as staying connected with District 76 communication updates. View our D76 Hotspot Acknowledgment to learn about agreed understanding on using the issued mobile hotspot.
