Attendance Week
Diamond Lake School is participating in Lake County’s Attendance Awareness Month for September. Please make sure your child is at school each day this year, and on time. If you are dropping your students off at school, please remember that we open the doors as early as 7:40am, and that school starts at 8:00.

Fall pictures will be on Wednesday, September 5th.
Bus Route Tracker (Updated 8.31)
Durham has shared with us that the bus tracker app is now operational. Please enter “Grayslake” for the city, as this is the city that the bus routes originate from. Your child’s ID number has been emailed to you. Using the email that is on file with the school office, we have sent your child’s ID number to be used in the app. If you did not receive your ID number, please update your email information with the school office. You can find information on the app here:

After School Activities
After school activities will begin this coming week.. We will post the after school bus routes on the District website as soon as they are finalized. The after school bus routes are not included in the Durham Bus Route Tracker app at this time.
Nut Allergy Restriction Reminder
Please remember that nuts and products made with nuts are not allowed at Diamond Lake School. Please make sure that these food items are not sent in with your child.
Please view this letter which contains an update to allowable snacks and snack suggestions.

Notes from the PTO
Thank you everyone who dined with us at Culver's this week! Thank you to Mr. Willeford, Mr. Preble and Dr. Fredericks for greeting diners and making everyone smile. A huge shout-out to all our wonderful teachers who moonlighted as servers after a full day of teaching! You are all fantastic!
Our annual Diamond Bash is next week! Don't miss our kick-off event of the school year. Sign up online or send your registration to your teacher. We're looking for many volunteers to help with the Diamond Bash. Consider spending a few hours helping out with other parents and teachers to make this event a success!

Innovative Learning Child Care for Monday, 9.10.2018
Dear Fairhaven Innovation Learning Parent,
Monday, September 10 is a full day off of school. If you need care for September 10, please enroll on the parent portal by 11:59 pm on Monday, September 3. You will be notified on Tuesday, September 4 if we do not reach our minimum to be open.

Durham a compartido con nosotros que la aplicación rastreador de autobús está ahorra operativa. Favor de poner “Grayslake” para la ciudad, ya que esta es la ciudad donde las rutas de autobuses empieza. El Número de ID de su hijo ha sido enviado por correo electrónico a usted. Gracias a todos los que cenaron en Culver’s esta semana! Gracias al Sr. Willeford, Sr. Preble y Dr. Fredericks por saludarles a los que iban a cenar y por hacer a todos sonreir. Y un enorme agradecimiento a todas la maravillosas maestras que trabajaron como meseras después de un dia completo de ser maestras! Todos usted son increibles!
Nuestro DIamond Bash anual es la próxima semana! No se pierdan de nuestro primer evento del año escolar. Regístrese en línea o mande la forma de registración a su maestra. El Lunes 10 de Septiembre no hay escuela. Si usted necesita cuidado de niños, favor de registrar a su hijo en el portal de padres antes de las 11:59 pm el Lunes Septiembre 3. Usted será notificado el Martes 4 de Septiembre si no han alcanzado el mínimo de registración para pertenecer abiertos
