Qualifications for membership on the Board of Education:
1. Citizen of the United States
2. 18 years of age or older
3. Resident of School District 76 for at least one year
4. Registered voter
Generally, members of the Board of Education serve 4-year terms. If you are interested in seeking election on April 4, 2017 to serve on the Board of Education, you may pick up a petition packet beginning on September 16, 2016 from Ms. Jacki Pusch at the District Office between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. The District Office is located in West Oak Middle School, 500 Acorn Lane, Mundelein.
The first day to circulate petitions is Tuesday, September 20, 2016. Petitions may then be filed at the Lake County Clerk’s Office, Waukegan, IL from Monday, December 12, 2016, through Monday, December 19, 2016, during the County Clerk’s normal business hours.
