Hello Fairhaven Families,
What a year it has been! I am so proud of all of the work that our teachers, parents and students did together throughout the 16-17 school year. Our students made significant progress and are ready to go on to the next grade level. While we are sorry to see our first graders move on to Diamond Lake, yet we are excited to be sending them ready to take the next steps in their education.
The end of a school year is often time to wish people well as they make changes to their professional path. One of the people making changes to her life is Marina Garcia, our spectacular office assistant. Marina is getting married tomorrow and then she is headed to our District Office to assist Mr. Juracka, our Associate Superintendent. Mr. Juracka is lucky to be getting a strong and dedicated professional and we wish Marina all the best.
Reading is the best way for students’ reading skills to improve. As an effort to encourage students to read over the summer, we are offering prizes to students that maintain their current reading level or improve their reading level over the summer. Please check your child’s backpack for more information!
If you have not yet registered, please do so as soon as possible so that we can make sure your child’s transportation and class placement are ready to go. If you need any assistance with registering, including computer use, please stop into Fairhaven or call the office at 847-949-0991. The District 76 residency fair is August 1st, from 7:00-9:00 AM, and August 2nd and 3rd from 4:00-8:00 PM. You are welcome to bring in residency materials to any building beginning July 5th. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.
School will be back in session before you know it. Our students will return to school on Wednesday, August 16th. If you were not able purchase school supplies through the PTO, Office Max will give our school 5% back for purchasing supplies at their store. Office Max will have our school supply lists and someone will even assist you with shopping! Our traditional “Meet and Greet” will be a little different as we begin the school year next year. Our “Meet and Greet” will be in all buildings from 4:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday, August 15th. This special time will allow our families to meet the teachers, drop off school supplies, and receive information about the curriculum. We are truly looking forward to seeing you!

Hola Familias de Fairhaven,
Que año ha sido este año escolar! Estoy muy orgulloso de todo el trabajo que nuestras maestras, padres y estudiantes hicieron juntos durante el año escolar 16-17. Nuestros estudiantes hicieron progresos significativos y están listos para pasar al siguiente grado. Mientras estamos tristes que nuestros estudiantes de primer grado se muden a Diamond Lake, estamos muy contentos de enviarlos listos para dar los siguientes pasos en su educación.
El final del año escolar también es tiempo para desear a la gente bien cuando están hacen cambios a su trayectoria profesional. Una de las personas que hará cambios en su vida es Marina García, nuestra asistente espectacular de la oficina. Marina se va a casar mañana y luego se dirigirá a nuestra Oficina de Distrito para asistir al Sr. Juracka, nuestro Superintendente Asociado. El Sr. Juracka tiene la suerte de estar recibiendo una profesional fuerte y dedicada y le deseamos a Marina todo lo mejor.
La lectura es la mejor manera de mejorar las habilidades de lectura de los estudiantes. Como un esfuerzo para alentar a los estudiantes a leer durante el verano, estamos ofreciendo premios a los estudiantes que mantienen su nivel de lectura actual o mejoren su nivel de lectura durante el verano. Por favor, mire en la mochila de su hijo para obtener más información!
Si aún no se ha registrado, por favor hágalo tan pronto como sea posible para que podamos asegurarnos de que el transporte y la colocación de su hijo estén listos. Si necesita ayuda con el registro, incluyendo el uso de la computadora, por favor vengan a Fairhaven o llame a la oficina al 847-949-0991. La feria de residencia del Distrito 76 es el 1 de agosto, de 7:00-9:00 AM, y 2 y 3 de agosto de 4:00-8:00 PM. Si usted no pudo comprar útiles escolares a través del PTO, Office Max le dará a nuestra escuela un 5% de devolución para comprar sus útiles en su tienda.
