Diamond Lake School Updates for 5/26/2017
LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL
It is hard to believe that this coming week is our last for the 2016-2017 school year. Here are a few reminders:
No School on Monday, May 29th, in observance of Memorial Day
Field Day is Thursday, June 1st, rain or shine
There are no after school activities, Aftercare at Fairhaven is still running.
Friday, June 2nd is our last day of school and it is a FULL day.
Field Day/Picnic Day
Field Day is Thursday, June 1st rain or shine. Students are to bring the following:
Hot Lunch on Wednesday, May 31st and Friday, June 2nd
Hot lunch will be served as a pot-luck on Wednesday, May 31st and Friday, June 2nd. As we normally do before winter and summer breaks, we will be serving a variety of items as a first come, first serve at lunch on Friday.

DID YOU MISS OUT ON ORDERING KEEPSAKE GIFTS THAT DISPLAY YOUR CHILD'S ARTWORK? It's not too late to order. Diamond Lake School will still benefit from your order. Celebrate upcoming holidays with gifts to will be cherished for years to come.
Online Registration is Open
Please register your child for next school year. If you need assistance, or online access, we have computers for you to use in the main office. The office will be open late on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday until 5:00pm to assist you if needed.

Extended Learning Opportunities
Due to low enrollment in the summer extended learning programs offered through The Mundelein Park District and Innovation Learning (STEM), these programs will be cancelled. Drop-off and Pick-up Procedures
Students who are being dropped off in the morning, may be dropped off curbside, as long as you are not blocking a bus from pulling up. If you need to exit your vehicle for any reason, please park in the parking lot. DO NOT exit your vehicle in the bus lane (anywhere along the sidewalk).
If you are dropping off after 8:00am, you will need to park in the lot and walk your child into the office and sign your child in.
If you are picking up your child from school, you must stop in the office and sign-your child out. This is the procedure for any time of the day, including after school. When picking up your child, please park in the parking lot, as you will be exiting your vehicle to sign-out your child. Only parents, guardians, or adults on our student Emergency Contact List can sign-out your child from school. Please make sure that we have a current list so that there isn’t any problems with dismissal.

La Última Semana de Escuela
Es difícil creer que esta semana que viene es la última para el año escolar 2016-2017. Aquí están algunos recordatorios:

Dia de Campo
El Dia de Campo es el Jueves, 1 de Junio llueva o no. Los alumnos tienen que traer lo siguiente:
Almuerzo para el Viernes, 2 de Junio
El almuerzo que será servido será a la suerte el Viernes, 2 de Junio. El menú actualmente muestra que es hamburguesa de Pavo o Sloppy Joe. Como normalmente hacemos antes de las vacaciones de invierno o verano, se servirá una variedad de comida y será basado en primero que llega, durante el almuerzo del Viernes.

NO PUDO ORDENAR SU REGALO DE RECUERDOS QUE MUESTRAN LAS ILUSTRACIONES DE SU HIJO? No es demasiado tarde para la orden. La Escuela de Diamond Lake podrá beneficiarse de su orden. Por favor de recordar las reglas de seguridad cuando están manejando su vehículo en el estacionamiento:
-Por favor de encaminar su hijo/a a la entrada de la escuela cuando se estacione

Procedimientos para Dejar y Recoger a los Alumnos
Los alumnos que serán dejado en las mañanas, pueden hacerlo a la orilla de la banqueta si no se está bloqueando la línea del autobús escolar. Si necesita salir de su vehículo por cualquier razón, por favor deje su vehículo en el estacionamiento. “NADIE” se puede estacionar en la línea del autobús escolar.
Si va a dejar a su hijo/a después de las 8:00am, necesitará dejar su vehículo en el estacionamiento y firmar por su hijo en la oficina.
Si va a recoger a su hijo/a de la escuela, tiene que entrar a la oficina y firmar la autorización de salida. Cuando lo vaya a recoger favor de estacionarse en el estacionamiento, porque va a salir de su vehículo para recoger a su hijo/a. Solo los padres, tutores, o adultos en la lista de emergencia podrá firmar a su hijo/a en la salida. Por favor asegúrese de que tenemos la lista al corriente con la información correcta para que no haya problemas en la salida.
